M3 Consulting Associates, LLC was founded on a simple belief that small businesses and growing organizations deserve access to the same caliber of operational expertise that drives performance in larger and more complex institutions.
For over two decades, our founder worked at the senior level inside multi-employer pension funds, federal government contracts, and compliance-intensive organizations designing systems, leading teams, improving processes, and delivering results in environments where precision, accountability, and strict adherence to compliance requirements were essential. Through that experience, a pattern became clear: the operational challenges that slow businesses down are rarely unique. They are almost always rooted in the same core gaps — unclear processes, inconsistent documentation, limited accountability structures, and the absence of repeatable systems built to scale.
M3 was founded to close that gap and bring institutional-grade expertise directly to the businesses that need it most, in an accessible, project-based model built around company goals, timeline, and budget.
Shonya Morrison, PMP | Principal Consultant & Founder
MEET THE FOUNDER
Shonya is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 20 years of senior-level experience spanning pension and benefits administration, federal contract program management, and organizational operations leadership.
Her career has taken her to the Director of Operations level at one of the largest multi-employer defined benefit pension funds in the country, where she led a team of 80+ professionals, oversaw ERISA compliance and participant services, and drove measurable improvements in operational efficiency and processing accuracy. She also served as Project Manager and Operations Manager leading a large-scale federal contract supporting the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) and managing governance frameworks, compliance reporting, and cross-functional team performance at the program level.
Beyond her institutional experience, Shonya has applied her expertise across cybersecurity, travel, and benefits administration industries by developing HR documentation, building business systems from the ground up, and leveraging generative AI to accelerate documentation, design, and productivity for the organizations she serves.
She holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, is a candidate for the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and is a commissioned Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her technology proficiency spans various benefits administration systems, JIRA, Power BI, Canva, and generative AI tools giving her the rare ability to combine deep domain knowledge with modern operational tools.
